* Do you know what the MX record is?
Suggested article from our blog: What is an MX record?
MX DNS record is a resource record that is responsible for receiving emails. It will have the hostname and the address of the incoming mail server.
The control for your MX records is located at your DNS hosting provider. From there, you can edit and manage the MX records. If you move to another email hosting provider, you will need to access your DNS records and redirect your MX records to the new email hosting.
Inside the MX record, you will see the hostname and the location of the mail server, which handles the incoming emails. You will find TTL value and priority too. The IP address is used from the A or AAAA record of the host.
